Do Carrots Improve Vision? Discover Tips

It is a belief that carrots can improve anyone’s vision; some see it as fiction, while others as fact. Reality is; carrot contains Vitamin A, which is an essential component/requirement for enhanced vision. Vitamin A helps the eye convert light into a signal that transmits to the brain, allowing people to see under low light conditions.
However, most people wonder as to the amount of carrot they need to eat to improve their sight. The answer to this is, moderate amounts of carrot.
There are certain basic things you could do, however, to improve your sight significantly, things, which if avoided, even the exact amount of carrot may not be of much help.

Stimulate Your Brain

Scents help improve the beta waves in the frontiers of your brain, such that it promotes wakefulness, enable you to focus better, and see things more acutely. You could, for example, dab an essential oil of jasmine, peppermint or vanilla on your arm and sniff. This will go a long way to improve your vision.

Keep Cool at Home or Work

Turn down the heat at home or at work. Heat will dry out the air, which will dry out your eyes… dry eyes are definitely not ideal for you and can contribute to a handful of vision problems.

Blood Pressure

You should be able to check your blood pressure at home with a do it alone device, there are so many things that could go wrong, once you have high blood pressure, such as hypertension, which can damage the blood vessels in the retina of your eyes. We know this disease as hypertensive retinopathy. Keep an eye on your blood pressure if you’re prone to hypertension.

Take A Break

Now and then, take a break from any screen activity. Your eyes get strained when they focus on any type of blue screen for too long; i.e., computers, iPads, smartphones. Any time you use a screen, you are working your eye muscles overtime. Taking a break can ease eye strain symptoms and refresh your eyes.

Block the Sun

The sun is a great source of Vitamin D, but can be bad news for your eyes. Since the sun emits UVB rays, your eyes are at risk for damage on a cellular level. It’s important to buy sunglasses that protect your eyes from these specific rays and also buy a hat! A hat, for example, will block 50% of UV radiation and reduce such radiation from entering your eyes from above or around your sunglasses, which are ideal to this effect too.
